The beginning
The idea for Clonable emerged from our experience with international websites. We started with pilot projects, secured our first clients, and further refined the platform. By the end of 2021, we were already working for 25 clients.
With this in mind, Niels Arts and Bas van Schijndel launched Clonable. What began as an internal solution grew into a platform that enables organizations to centrally manage international websites.
Niels Arts and Bas van Schijndel observed how organizations were spending more and more time on international websites. As soon as websites expand into multiple languages and markets, teams often have to implement the same updates multiple times, and management and operational costs rise rapidly.
What began as an internal solution evolved into Clonable. Today, together with our team, we continue to build a platform that enables organizations to manage their international growth at scale without duplication of effort.
Trusted by international organizations
We believe that international growth should not lead to more manual management, disjointed workflows, or higher operational costs. That’s why we help organizations centrally manage international websites, while ensuring that content, translations, and SEO remain synchronized across markets.
From e-commerce to corporate websites: every day, we see how much calm and clarity are created when teams work from a single central workflow.
The idea for Clonable emerged from our experience with international websites. We started with pilot projects, secured our first clients, and further refined the platform. By the end of 2021, we were already working for 25 clients.
We continued to build on Clonable core and gathered feedback from organizations that wanted to centrally manage their international websites. By the end of 2022, 64 organizations were using Clonable.
We improved the platform with targeted optimizations and launched our first plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce. By the end of 2023, 88 organizations were using Clonable.
We introduced new marketing tools and SEO features and secured our first investors. By the end of 2024, 164 organizations were using Clonable.
We further expanded our partner and reseller program and improved translation quality. More than 250 organizations now use Clonable.
We are continuing to build Clonable as a platform for sustainable international growth. As part of this, we are improving, among other things, translation quality, localization capabilities, and the centralized management of international websites.
Behind Clonable is a team of 15 colleagues in development, support, marketing, sales, and operations. From our office in Uden, we work on the platform every day and help organizations expand into multiple languages and markets.
Because we work with international websites ourselves on an ongoing basis, we see where manual management consumes time and resources. That’s why we support clients with onboarding, support, optimizations, and the systematic management of international growth.
We’d love to show you how Clonable works and help you strategize your international growth.
